You will hear this phrase numerous times over the next year,
"We are in for the fight of our lives!"

Demand Set Surveys are due by noon May 17th

Demand Set Results meeting for all members is May 23rd at OPSEU Regional Office, 920 Princess Street Suite 103 from 5:30 to 7:00 pm. Quorum is necessary to ensure that Local 432 issues are identified and submitted to the Regional office for incorporation into the provincial demand set process. If you are interested in participating in the bargaining process, this is the meeting for you! To keep up to date on the latest bargaining processes check out the PSLet's Talk Blog, the link is at the top of the page.

At the May 23rd meeting, members will also hear about the 2012 convention from our attendees, Maryvonne Tonge, Ken Hill and Rhonda McCall.

Are you interested in becoming a steward? You can be either an active steward or an information steward, attend a meeting and hear more about the role. We need your help….our list of stewards has dwindled at a critical time for our members!

Annual allocations are being prepared for stewards who have attended LEC and AGM meetings. If you are a steward in your workplace, please contact Treasurer Maryvonne Tonge (maryvonne.tonge@ontario.ca) to arrange for pick up of your allocation.

Anyone needing to update their name, addresses, work site location - please use the following link to ensure your membership dues are directed to the correct local. www.opseu.org/notices/connect-with-opseu.htm -- remember that if you are updating your information through the main OPSEU link, please send the same information to Local 432 email link. OPSEU has been working on gathering secure email addresses for our members. If you are registered with an “Ontario.ca” email address, it will no longer be used for OPSEU updates. Please update your information as outlined above to ensure you are kept up to date with all the activity headed our way over the next 12 months.

Check out the upcoming events section for details about the Health Care Forums coming to our area in May and also the invitation to the Region 4 Annual Summer Picnic in Merrickville.
